Cafe Lilo (Mechukha)

This place completes the charm of the little budding chilly town of Mechuka. This cafe has a great view from the balcony where one can just sit with a cup of hot chocolate and read a book. The owner is a young and lively entrepreneur who's quite informative about what she's doing and has a good hand when it comes to baking. Just waiting for some pizzas and pastas to make it to the menu and then bang on!! So bottomline, this is a must visit place when you are in the beautiful town of Mechuka

While you are lost mesmerising the beauty of the snow caped mountains, she walks in with the warmest smile and make you feel so comfortable and happy! Jubilant is the best described word for the feeling you get in Café Lilo! It’s a must visit spot when in Menchukha!!!

Located at first floor with a mesmerising mountain view, this is the one and only modern designed cafe at Mechukha. Why to visit this cafe? The cafe is serving you with a variety in your drinks - coffee (Cappuccino & Americano) and tea (Lemon tea & green tea) and baked as well as fried bites. It is a perfect place in Mechukha to spend your evening after a long day of exploring the town. How to reach the cafe? The cafe is located at the first floor near to Hotel Snow View. The town is very small you may also ask any local for directions to this cafe. P.S.: Try their Banana Cake & Cheese Cake. Also, best time to visit this cafe is in the evening.

Have you ever been to a cafe that happens to be the only cafe in town? I hadn't before I went to Cafe Lilo. In the evening, you can spot the place from afar as it is the only place that is shimmering with lights in the market area near the Petrol Pump. The first thing I noticed was how beautiful and aesthetic the place was. The place was very spacious but had a seating capacity for only about 10-12 people which gave it a very open but intimate and cozy vibe. There is also a tiny stage with a mic and a guitar for those who wish to sing and jam while enjoying the panoramic views of the mountains from the picture windows. One can also choose to sit outside in the open-air balcony area and admire the fresh air and unobstructed scenery of Mechukha. This place is run by Miss Apili aka Lilo, who is such an inspiration; Doing what she loves, in her hometown, despite all the challenges is a task and a half. Also, helping Miss Lilo were her two cousins, who seemed rather shy but were so adorable. They would come to the cafe after school and help out. Such a wholesome vibe I tell you! I highly recommend the pizza, cheesecake, and of course their special "world-famous" lemon tea. To accompany the food you can have interesting conversations with the people visiting. You would come across the locals, tourists, and even the defense personnel posted in Mechukha in the cafe as this seems to be the most happening place in town. I wish I could live in Mechuka and head to Cafe Lilo every evening to hang out. Such is the charm of the cafe and the close-knit community of Mechukha. I'll be coming back very soon!

Quaint little place with amazing view. Good place to hang out n relax at Mechuka. Currently the menu is small, hope to see it expand soon.

Very lively and cute cafe. I went there couple of time to have those cute little cupcakes and delicious muffin. Do visit the place and grap a cup of coffee.....!!!

A cafe in such an interior place with a great ambiance. Didn't expected to see Cheesecake in their menu. It tasted too good.
